ASK THE EXPERT originally developed as the QUICK FACTS CHANNEL has been one of the most successful direct marketing website vehicles over the last 12 years.

HISTORY

Steve Olschwanger originally developed the QUICK FACTS CHANNEL/ASK THE EXPERT for the Houston Post back in 1993. Because of the great success of QUICK FACTS CHANNEL/ASK THE EXPERT, many of the top daily newspapers in the country followed the Houston Post and became new clients. Media partners grew into Bell Canada, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, McClatchy Newspapers, NBC, and 150 additional daily and weekly newspapers. Steve started getting request from radio stations and then local television stations. Other media partners were Verizon Yellow Pages, Edtel, and Thompson Newspaper group. In 2003 Steve added Google as a partner in order to supply sponsors with tracking.

The Denver Post had so much success they bought the rights for the Denver market.

WHAT COMSUMER HAVE SAID

Quick Facts Channel became so popular with consumers as now they had a free service that would inform them in the areas of LAW, HEALTH, FINANCIAL, and HOME IMPROVEMENT. The information offered was informative and non advertorial. Many e-mails came in from consumers thanking us and our media partner for providing the service. Numbers continued to grow from monitoring Googles Report Sheet. Quick Facts Channel/ Ask the Expert for the last 12 years has been a complete success.

EXCLUSIVE SPONSORSHIP

The key to having a strong sponsorship package to offer to local businesses was our media partner had to be very strong in the market, we had to offer affordable rates, the latitude to our sponsors to be able to change their content, and exclusivity per topic. We accomplished all four areas. Sponsors loved the idea that they could be the exclusive sponsor on an area that would target their clientele and position them as an authority. More importantly they could realize all the referrals from either their telephone number being displayed on their banner ad or the link to their website. AFFORDABILITY AFFORDABILITY AFFORDABILITY really stood out.

Again Steve’s theory was to hook up with the top media in each market whether it was the daily newspaper, radio stations, television stations, or Yellow Page Directories. QUICK FACTS/ASK THE EXPERT offered informative information in the areas of HEALTH, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, and HOME IMPROVEMENT with each heading offering 20- 50 educational topics.

THE SPONSOR RECEIVES ALL THE REFERRALS

The cost ranges from $150 per month per category to $300 a month per category depending on the size market. If a company secures more than one category, they can realize great discounts as well as if the sponsor pays 90 days in advance. There are also additional discounts based on volume.

We are constantly asked, how many of the leads turn into customers, clients, or patients. Our response is as follows; our agreement is for one year but if after 90 days and our sponsor is not satisfied, they may cancel without penalty.

Our statistics are as follows; 87% of our clients continue on for the balance of the year and 72% renew in year # 2. Lets face it if our sponsors were not satisfied with their results, our figures would be so much lower.

We also offer premium sponsorship banners on the main menu page of HEALTH, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, and HOME IMPROVEMENT. These premium banners are seen by everyone that comes to the main headings. These banners range from $300 a month to $750 per month depending on the size of the market.
