Commercial Crime The Commercial Crime Policy can be purchased with a variety of coverages, all protecting the business from criminal acts. Examples include Employee Dishonesty, Forgery or Alteration, Theft, Disappearance and Destruction, Robbery and Safe Burglary, Premises Burglary, Computer Fraud, and Extortion. Workers Compensation This coverage provides payment of benefits to an employee who suffers a work-related accident or illness. Benefits are paid to the employee without regard to fault. Policy limits and requirements are established by the workers compensation law or occupational disease law of any state listed in the policy. Employers are protected by statute against other work injury liability except where due to extreme negligence. Employee Benefits A variety of benefits components are available, including group medical, dental, vision, long term care, group life, short and long-term disability insurance, and Section 125 Cafeteria Plans. Businesses may also purchase insurance to ensure business continuation or to indemnify the business for loss of a key employee.
